But do you know exactly all the goodness that goes in to making them?

Let’s go through some of the ingredients that make you feel (and look) your best self!

We know it’s super important for you to know what you’re putting on your skin, hair and body. So we always list out all the ingredients included in our products. And because we are absolutely sure of what we offer, we tell you exactly what they are. 

But we get it, an ingredients list on the product page might not go into detail on what those ingredients do and how they help. So that’s why we’ve written this post! Let’s start with one of the essential ingredients which you will find in most of our bottles.

Golden Jojoba oil

Jojoba oil is the closest oil to our skins natural oils which is why it is perfect for balancing naturally oily skin and dry skin. It controls oil production on oily skin and softens dry/combination skin. Jojoba is a natural antioxidant which helps to reduce the effects of the sun and pollution on skin. Our Rejuvenating oil is our personal favourite here and Jojoba is in both our Strengthening and Moisturising beard oils!

Jamaican Black Castor Oil or JBCO

Castor oil is derived from the seeds of the castor plant. Clear or pure castor oil is pressed from fresh seeds, while Jamaican black castor oil (JBCO) is extracted from seeds that have been roasted, pounded, and boiled, hence its dark colour. As the main component of our repairing beard oil, JCBO will make your hair grow thicker, moisturise dry hair and prevent hair breakage. 

Rosehip Seed Oil

This comes from rose bush seeds which are grown in Chile. It’s known to be full of vitamins, antioxidants and fatty acids which are wonderful for your face. It’s rich in the 3 key vitamins A (Retinol) ,C and E (great to calm the skin, for acne or simply to moisturise). It’s a key ingredient of our clarifying skin oil, working hard to treat wrinkles, brighten and tone your skin.

Sea Moss

Sea Moss is a type of algae also known as Irish moss (or Chondrus crispus) which grows on rocky coastlines along the Atlantic coast. It looks spiky, small and a little bit like lettuce but comes in different colours (green, yellow, purple, red, brown and black). The main component is carrageenan which contains vitamins (A, C and K) and minerals (potassium, Iron, Calcium and Magnesium). Sea Moss is also rich in iodine which is essential for thyroid function. When you buy our organic seamoss gel you allow your body to get 92 minerals and you boost your immune system, as well as your digestive system. Not so shabby, eh?

Rosemary, Sage, Lavender, Chilli 

All plants which grow in your garden! Heavily featured in our Root stimulation oil, they will help hair and beard growth and strengthen your roots. Rosemary is known to reduce stress levels and nervous tension, sage is good for scalp & skin irritations, while chilli oil protects the skin. Lavender is the most versatile and popular oil. It’s extracted by a steam distillation process in which the flowers are steamed, the steam is captured and the oil is separated from the water. Throwing all of these together is a recipe for well-being success! 

Now then, on top of all the ingredients listed above, let’s not forget that most of our products also contain vitamins (and we love vitamins!) 

If you decide to buy one of our products from the body butter range, you will treat your body to Vitamins E (an antioxidant helping to protect from damage) and C (an anti-inflammatory that hydrates the skin). The strawberry extract in our body butter and skin care collection also contains carotene and Vitamin A (Retinol) (helping to smooth lines and wrinkles).

Apricot Kernel Oil

Apricot kernel oil is one of the main components of our body butters, we love it because it is soothing for eczema, helps to improve skin tone and texture, and helps to keep skin looking radiant. Containing naturally occurring vitamins C & E, it also nourishes the deeper skin layers and improves the appearance of face wrinkles, fine lines and blemishes.
